A Tweet Too Far! - Developing Social Media, Dress Code,
Flex Hour & More Guidelines For Your Company
Thanks to social media, we seem to be opening up and freely
discussing topics, such as politics, in the public space where we
might not have done so in the recent past. When an employee posts
something offensive or derogatory, HR professionals are often on
the front line of protecting the employer’s brand. As people conduct
more business and socializing online, Facebook and Twitter have
become 21st century water coolers, where workers flock to catch
up on the latest gossip, joke and vent. In today’s hyper connected
culture, an online comment or photo can spread like wildfire from
one co-worker to another and then to multitudes of strangers. What
rights do you have to protect your company? Can you legally use
social media to check up on potential or current employees? Join us
for a lively discussion, real life examples and walk away with guidance
from a seasoned HR Practitioner whose goal is to help you feel more
confident and comfortable blazing trails in to this new frontier!
