FOCUSSED ON CRITICAL NEEDS
Following the successful
transformation
of the first school, the
campaign continued with
the 2nd phase which was
launched in February
2015. Sekolah Kebangsaan Kuala Tahan, Jerantut is located at the Simpang Felda Padang Piol
area and reachable on the
inner roads near Kuala
Tembeling Jeti.
The school was immersed underwater as
it is located next to Sungai Tembeling at the
Kuala Tahan National
Park area. This school
was chosen as it needed
assistance due to its remote location and badly
damaged condition. The
school has not resumed
100% operations because
there is still a need to refurbish classrooms and
school compounds, which
is why NIVEA is helping
with bags as aids to the
students and new notice
boards for their classrooms.
NIVEA has also embarked to assist SK Telok
Sentang in Temerloh,
which was immersed and
damaged during the flood
where school furniture
and equipment were destroyed.
Upon discussion with
the
school
principal,
NIVEA concluded that it
is only fair and practical
to provide the students
what they require most
urgently.
Nivea’s Blue Aid to
this school is the 30 pieces
of notice boards, white
boards and 186 pairs of
sports track bottoms for
their primary 4-6 students. NIVEA’s Blue Squad
volunteers also painted
the building walls of this
school to freshen the outlook of the school.
During the finale of
this Campaign at SK Sanggang Seberang, the Blue
Squad volunteers contributed in the painting of the
newly freshen and bright
colored building walls
and canteen walls.
At the same event, the
NIVEA Blue Ride - school
van was handed to the
principal, and NIVEA
Smile Packs to the students.
NIVEA feels that it
is important to rebuild
the outlook of the school
building and canteen
walls so the students will
be excited and proud to
attend their school, motivating them to look forward to attend to their
lessons in a clean and
happy ambience.
