THROUGH SERVICES , PROJECTS & PARTNERSHIPS
The past year at Community Support Frankston ( CSF ) has seen many changes in our service delivery , particularly since the onset of Covid-19 and the challenges this pandemic brought to how we could still maintain contact with our clients and assist an ever-increasing number of new clients experiencing financial hardship – especially food related .
MEALS ON WHEELS
Thinking outside the box involved setting up partnerships with many new organisations , particularly those in the hospitality industry , to allow us to offer everything from food box home deliveries to the commencement of our daily Hot Meals Program , a new initiative that provides clients with a hot meal , bread , fruit & veg bags , toiletries , clothing and face masks every Monday to Friday from 12.00 noon to 2.00pm .
BEACH 162 RESTAURANT
CSF has also extended its Meal Voucher service , which now includes additional restaurants where clients can purchase take-away meals of their choice for either lunch or dinner , 7 days a week . This service is extremely important for those in our community who are homeless , who have no means to cook a nutritious meal for themselves .
BABA ON WELLS
RAPID RELIEF TEAM
Another new initiative is our recently formed partnership with the Rapid Relief Team . CSF purchases the RRT food boxes , and then their amazing volunteers deliver them to our clients , who are either in self-isolation , or are unable to attend CSF ’ s premises to collect a food parcel , with these deliveries occurring either the same day or next morning .
