Communist Party ’ s exploitation , corruption and coercion .” At another place , a day earlier , Pompeo said : “ Everybody likeminded is looking at erosion of democracy , of free market and all that , and they are taking action .” He also projects the entire conflict as one between “ the free world versus Chinese authoritarianism .”

The US leaders know that China had been pursuing a capitalist path of development for long . Yet , they show China as a Communist Country . It is a part of their tactic to exploit anti – Communist sentiment and rope other countries behind them with an anti – Communist plank . Real problem is : US leaders are unable to digest the emergence of China as a powerful economic , political and military force ; China ’ s entry into the world market with its vast capital , goods and technological expertise in a big way and China ’ s offensive thrust to grab the markets hitherto controlled and looted by the imperialist powers . It is a serious and real matter of worry for them . The so called “ free market ” is nothing but the market occupied or monopolized or considered as their exclusive preserve . They fear China ’ s entry into their domain as a big competitor will put them to much economic strain and greatly weaken their preeminence or control . The US is already feeling the heat of this .

Similarly , the US leaders claiming themselves as the protectors of democratic system , free world , independence , peace , security and prosperity of Countries is a monumental lie . Entire world knows how the US imperialists invaded other Countries and reduced them into ashes and vast burial grounds . They massacred millions , forcibly occupied the territories , resources and installed their stooge regimes there . They encroached upon and violated the independence , sovereignty and territorial integrities of countless countries . They toppled the regimes , engineered armed coups , assassination of leaders , rained bombs on small and weak countries , forcibly dismembered and divided the countries , aided , abetted and guided the terrorist gangs only because the concerned countries and people refused to live in subjugation and part with their valuable wealth and resources . Entire world knows that the imperialists are never bothered about whether a regime is monarchical , feudal , fascist or autocratic . They would have no objection what so ever to include all or any of them in their so called free and democratic world if a country and people agree to live under the imperialist subjugation . So it is totally misleading and deception to claim that the conflict between US , its allies on one side and China on the other side is a conflict between a free and democratic world versus Chinese authoritarianism . Here the conflict and competition are reflecting between the attempts of US to retain and further expand its domination over the wealth and resources of various countries of the world as well as the world market and China ’ s attempts to encroach upon it and to influence the world market in its favor . China is repeatedly declaring that it is opposed to hegemonism and it does not cherish hegemonic or expansionist ambitions . At the same time , the methods being adopted by China to oppose the hegemonic policies of US and influence the Asia – Pacific countries and people and rally them behind it are doubtful and questionable .

The protection of peace , security and the right of free navigation in the sea waters of Asia – Pacific region is the concern of all countries in the region . No big power should behave like a savior , protector and custodian of the rights and interests of the countries and people in
