Land- _-Resource-Grabbing _ Nepal. pdf) If we look at the current agricultural picture of Nepal, we can see that landless agricultural families are about 26.1 %, only 19.71 % of women own land, the number of landless Dalits in the hills is 36.7 %, and among the Madhesi Dalits in the plains it is about 41.4 %. What is more, 37 % of agricultural land is concentrated in the hands of 5 %. This shows how powerful the feudal-landlord group is in Nepal.
And although the constitution mentions proportional representation for the marginalized communities of the Terai plains and the Madhesis, this was not done, as was proven in the 2015 mass agitation and blockade following the earthquake. That’ s it for Now, but There’ s Still More to Talk About:
So, the movement of last September cannot be called a foreign conspiracy only. Twenty thousand Nepalese people have sacrificed their lives in the antimonarchy movement. But in the last 19 years, the corruption of these political parties, the flourishing of false promises, and failing the working people to participate in state power, the powerless but full of hollow word manipulated constitution have disappointed the people. Foreign powers can take advantage of this, but betrayal of the Nepali leftists cannot be hidden with it. Besides, what about Indian Maoists who expressed great happiness when these Nepali Maoists came to power. They claimed that they had also sounded some warnings. It is surprising when the Maoists of Nepal came to power in 2008 by throwing away the teachings of Mao Tse-tung, Marx, Lenin, Stalin and joining hands with the treacherous classes, Azad, the spokesperson of the then Indian Maoists, said-“ The masses of Nepal had enough of King Gyanendra’ s autocratic and authoritarian December-2025 rule. Constitutional monarchy is indeed an anachronism even in the 20 th century leave alone the 21 st century. In fact, the people of Nepal had put up with such a rotten, reactionary feudal rule too long a time. And when they found an opportunity to throw it out, they grabbed it. There was never such an opportunity during earlier elections as all the parliamentary parties were either loyal to the king or displayed nominal opposition to the king. It is only the CPN( Maoist) that show ed a firm commitment to abolish the monarchy once for all and had come to the fore as an alternative to the bourgeois- feudal parties …… Our party looks at the election results in Nepal as a positive development with enormous significance for the people of entire South Asia. We send our revolutionary greetings to the people of Nepal for rejecting outright the monarchic rule and the comprador- feudal parties during the April 10 election to the Constituent Assembly ….( https:// www. marxists. org / archive / a z a d / 2 0 0 8 / a p r i l / m i b- 0 2- interview. htm,( Interview with Azad, spokesperson of CC, CPI( Maoists) on the Present development of Nepal, May 2008).
It is to keep in mind that the then, both Indian and Nepali Maoist organisations were important members of the Revolutionary Internationalist Movement( RIM). So, it is clear how hollow the socalled warnings are, a kind of selfpreservation, by avoiding the main from page 15 Significance.... united movement in the light of class struggle. We have to build revolutionary movement that is capable of representing the majority of the country’ s working people as the vanguard of the workers. In the bright light of the November Revolution, only the class- questions, by hiding the deviations of the Maoists because then they will have to question their own mistakes. In fact, this deviation is actually strengthened by the international left deviations which is becoming clear today in India also through the division and mass surrender of the Maoists.
We must learn from the lesson of Nepal that any electoral alliance for sharing power with the treacherous class parties in the fight against the fascist-style authoritarian BJP-RSS is actually a betrayal to the people. We must have organisational strength to dictate a concrete programme and have to earn the revolutionary support of masses. conscious workers and peasants unity, having strong conviction through the teachings of Tebhaga- Telangana-Naxalbari, can change the situation and set foot on the path of building a workers’ state. We have to learn from Comrade Lenin, and the Bolshevik November Revolution.
