Sound Effect and Music
I should have done the sound effect and music first. Once again, I felt like I was working backwards
during my production stages. A YouTuber I worked with in my second year who did my client project
during the last term agreed to help with this project again. I knew he could be trusted as I had worked
well him in the past. However, when I had submitted the final video to him, he felt that it was at the last
minute. I told him to do all he can. I provided the voice my sister did for the character of the girl in
sections of recording and asked him to put them in correct order. He synced them correctly as I wanted
him to, and he also gathered the sound effect for the clattering crystals, the scraping and falling box,
and the girl collapsing onto the ground and many more of the alerted and swooping bird which I was
pleased with – all over the weekend. Once he sent them back to me, I was very pleased with it. Only
one thing he couldn’t do was the gears churning and clogging, but I realised that I did not animate the
gears, so it was better that the sound effect was not included.
