Cyber bullying is not a joke and it is still around today. As Christians, we are called to love others, like Jesus loves us.

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another," John 13:34.

Social media is no exception to this commandment. Reach out to the girl who doesn't have many friends. Social Media is a great way to meet new friends. Also, avoid cyber bullying at all costs. Tell a parent, teacher, pastor, or youth leader about what is going on. Do not let it spread or continue!

3) pray, pray, pray. [then post]

What does prayer have to do with social media? We are called to pray continually! If we are going to use our social media sites as a way to witness, prayerful consideration should be taken before something is posted. Try it, and amazing things will happen! We serve a faithful God.

"The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective," James 5:16.

4) be bold.

We are called to be unashamed of our faith.

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation," Romans 1:16.

Being unashamed of our faith translates into being bold in the cyber world. Do not be afraid to post or Tweet things about your faith. There's always the possibility to encourage or make new Christian friends! Also, do not be afraid to share the gospel or to message someone and tell him or her just how much Jesus loves them! Being unashamed just might plant a seed or change someone’s life.

All my tips and advice, about using Social Media as a mission field to shine for Christ, can be summed into one verse,

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect," Romans 1:2.

Get out and shine your light! It can change the world.
