Maeve SKH: In art, we are using clay. In P. E., we are doing gymnastics. Mable SKH: In music, we are learning Valentine ' s songs. In P. E., we are doing special obstacle courses. In art, we are doing Valentine ' s stuff.
As you can see, learning in the ECE is filled with curiosity, laughter and citizenship, and they all apply during work time, like taking the courage to try a new strategy and using citizenship while sharing and taking turns. Have a great spring break!
GRADE 1 & 2 UPDATE

In this article, we interviewed Grades 1 and 2 to get a sneak-peak at what they’ ve been doing this term! As the youngest in the Junior School they have gotten so many new experiences. Let’ s see what they have to say!
What have you been learning about in Term 2? 1C Katelynn: Math stories. 2C Cici: Where we live. 1H Grace: We have been learning about numbers. 2H Leah: Salmon. What is your favourite hobby that you do after school? 1C Celia: Going to the veranda. 1H Grace: Hanging out with friends. 2H Leah: Gymnastics. What is your favorite subject in school? 1C Katelynn: Art. 1H Athena: Reading. 2H Bella: Skating. What is your favourite place on campus? 1C Celia: The Horse Tree. 2C Cici: The woods. 1H Grace: Cherry blossom theatre. 2H Maddy: My favourite place is the big woods. How are you liking the after-school activities provided by the school? 1C: Katelynn: Good. 1H Julie: On Monday I do art, on Tuesday I do music and on Thursday I did STEM explorations. 2H Maddy: Choir on Tuesdays. What is your favourite grade 1 memory? 1C Mia: Playing plus plus and lego. 1H Alice: Going to the wood factory and playing with my friends. What do you find challenging this year? How do you plan to overcome it? 1C: Poppy: Math. I will overcome this by trying hard.

1H Julie: Writing. What is the difference between kindergarten and grade 1? 1C Celia: There is not as much dramatic play. 1H Athena: It is harder. In conclusion, the Grades 1s and 2s have had a wonderful Term 2 year, from learning about snails to learning about salmon. We are so lucky to have them in the Junior School!
