Following on from last months club review with the York Tavern Cycling Club, its now the turn of Hethersett Velo Club. Our team headed out to Hethersett to catch up with Bart Anderton - chairman of the club, to discuss everything you might like to know about this up and coming club.
CM:
Firstly, from what I can find through research, you were only formed in 2013. Please can you provide us with a brief backstory of Hethersett Velo and where the idea to form the club came from?
BA:
I have been riding for a number of years and got the feeling that were was an opportunity to form a cycling club that was aimed at new cyclists, doing laid back and friendly bike rides to gain experience in club riding and riding in a group.
I approached my friend Iain Nichols and he agreed, then it all went from there.
