The club currently competes in Division 2 of the Airedale and Wharfedale Cricket League. They are led by President Bren Terry who is supported by Secretary Bhulla Singh and the club is 42 Issue 39 looking to progress under their guidance. Cricket Club Magazine takes a look at how they have been getting along in recent times. Last season their first team put together a steady league campaign, compiling a record of eight wins and nine defeats from their 22 matches with the other five fixtures being abandoned or cancelled. This saw them finish in a safe mid-table position in the league with 187 points on the board. T h i s should provide the side with a good platform from which to build as they look ahead towards their 2015 campaign. They have been working hard during the offseason in order to ensure that they are able to hit the ground running and there is plenty of optimism around the club. As long as they can retain their current group of players and perhaps make one or two quality additions they will have a good chance of claiming a higher league finish this time around. Thackley is not a club to focus solely upon their senior section however and they also have a fine junior set up in place. This part of the club looks to provide youngsters from the local area with an opportunity to play the game in a safe and enjoyable environment whilst helping them to reach their full potential. It is important for any club to produce their own talent if they are to be successful over a sustained period of time, particularly in the current financial climate and this
