IIPTF HOLDS INDIAN PET INDUSTRY
AWARD CEREMONY
FOR DOMESTIC PET ENTERPRISES
T
he Indian Pet Industry
Awards (IPIA) have
been introduced by
IIPTF to provide recognition
to pet businesses, entrepreneurs
and NGOs for achieving
excellence in the domestic
pet industry. Th e award had
fi ve main categories namely -
Entrepreneur of the Year, Pet
Shop of the Year, Grooming
Parlour of the Year, Dog
Boarding Centre of the Year
and NGO of the Year.
India International Pet Trade Fair
(IIPTF) received an enormous
number of nominations from
pet entrepreneurs and business
owners from across the country
for the fi ve award categories.
Th e nominations were then
shortlisted by our distinguished
jury consisting of Mr. Gaurav
Th ombre – established pet
photographer; Mr. Pankaj Kumar Tandon
– Senior Vice President KEC International
Limited; Mr. Shekhar Vijayan – author,
motivational speaker and international
trainer; and Mr. Varindra Sewak – Former
MD Purina India. Aft er the exhaustive
shortlisting process, the fi nalists were judged
independently on various criteria and
the winners were selected aft er thorough
consideration of all aspects.
Th e fi rst edition of the Indian Pet Industry
Dialogue concluded with the felicitation
ceremony for Indian Pet Industry Award.
Th e IPIA 2019 for Entrepreneur of the Year
went to Mr. Ashish Anthony from Just Dogs
with Ms. Nimisha Dixit from Dog O Bow
and Mr. Mohit Lalvani from Captain Zack
bagging the second and third positions
respectively.
Just Dogs, the Pan India retail chain, came
fi rst in the Pet Shop of the Year award
category with Friends Agency, the Pet Shop
from Kanpur following a close second.
