Restaurant Review

Cabo Blue

Even in small towns in northeast Iowa, like Fayette, you can find great places to get a bite of food. On South Main Street in Fayette Iowa there are plenty of good places to stop and eat, including Cabo Blue. Located on South Main Street Cabo Blue can be easy to miss when you are driving down the street, except for its unique awning outside. Owned by Tim Havenstrite Cabo Blue is an amazing sports bar to stop and get something to eat.

When you first walk in to the sports bar it has a nice relaxed feeling to it. The temperature is around a cool 65 degrees Fahrenheit, which is perfect during the summer heat. You seat yourself at any table you choose. All tables have great views of the numerous TVs at Cabo Blue. The tables that I saw were all cleaned and the silverware and rest of the table is laid out very nice. The table was basic nothing special.

My waitress at Cabo Blue was very nice and constantly made sure everything was up to key. AS soon as one of our waters was low she was always over in a second to ask if we needed more water. Our waitress was even nice enough to offer us the better deal when we made a mistake. The food took about 15-20 minutes to come to us but that was somewhat expected since they were kind of busy that night. All of the workers were nice making sure everything was good or just to have a nice conversation to see how we were doing.
