Block Boy Media:
A Trio of Creative
Storytellers
“The way we perceive the world is
all based on stories. We as
individuals have the power to help
people perceive the world in a new
way.”
This is the collaborative thinking of
three highly skilled and creative
video producers. It’s a consequence
of their own experiences while
working a world apart for many
years, later crossing paths in New
York City and then managing to
come together under one roof in
Las Vegas to start a company.
Co-founders Sheldon Waldron and
Shelton Alexis met in Trinidad

while working for MTV Tempo. “I
would produce the show and
everything you saw on air was
Sheldon’s work,” said Alexis.
“I’m more of a self-taught
creative,” said Waldron. “I met a
guy and he would leave me the
keys to his studio that held almost a
half million dollars in audio
production equipment. I started
shooting some music videos and
that organically turned into me
becoming a film director.” Waldron
eventually moved to New York to
attended a prestigious film academy
where he met Zurab Katamadze.
“We were doing what we loved, but
we were also creating a business,”
said Katamadze. “Sheldon told me
about a project in Vegas and asked
me to come with him. Shelton
would join us soon after.”
At first, it meant spending nights on
the company floor, eating late
dinners, and going through
countless computer crashes. Today,
however, they use state-of-the-art
equipment to complete amazingly
high-quality video for major
brands. One of the first clients they
worked with was a pro-bono
project for Dana White’s little
league football team to help make a
name for themselves. “We made
these little leaguers look like
professional NFL players,” said
Alexis.
Block Boy Media is more than a
media company. It’s a trio of
storytellers with true creative
insight who pride themselves on
their innate ability to inspire and
provoke creativity in other people.
