3 LIGHTS CAMERA ACTION WORDS ASSOCIATED WITH THE CINEMATIC UNIVERSE People only see the end result of a systematic set of processes but they hardly ever care to bother about what goes on before there is a movie. The movie industry has been painted to be a cut throat one and it is rightly so. In Hollywood, when actresses reach a certain age, they are consigned to certain 'motherly' roles. Although the male contemporaries are allowed to run for 5-7 years more, before the same happens to them; the same applies to Bollywood. Coming back home to Nollywood and their stereotypical movies it is the same and much worse, with 30-something year old actors acting out roles meant for 14 year old. Actors even have it easy, in the movie industry if you haven't directed a chart-topping, blockbuster movie you are not a 'seasoned' or 'good' director. No-one nowhere would take you seriously and give you the chance to prove yourself. I am not being bias! Truth is, no director has ever been made by laughing on the street and receiving a contract to be a voice over or motion caption artist. There are no scouts for directors. Directors don't go to auditions and manage to appear in a scene. Considering the budget size of some these great movies, many budding directors give up almost immediately.
