In-Town:-

An example of in-town stores are Malls.

Many in town malls have multiple chain stores and very few boutiques depending on the county.

Their demographic is mainly the younger generation, seeing as it would be alot easier for them to get everything they need ranging from clothes, shoes, food and accessories all under one roof.

An example is Westfield, westfied has so many different brands under one roof. Westfield is split into different areas, their is a area for food, clothes and all the other verations in the Shopping Mall.

Out-of-town:-

Examples of out-of-town are big retail parks and big malls.

Big retail parks have a wide range of shops, that stretch over a large area. Many retail parks are known for their luxury items being sold at a reasonable prices, however they still have normal muli-channel stores for the younger demographic that don't reallywant to spend their money on luxury brands. These types of retail parks appeal to households with cars. They are mainly on the outskirts of towns and cites.

Bicester Village is a very good example seeing as it embodies the meaning of a retail park. Bicester Villge is on the outskirts of Oxfordshire, it is the second most popular tourist attraction after Buckingham Palace.

Local:-

Local retailers are mainly on the high street and most high streets have things like newsagencies, betting shops and multi-channel retailers. an example of multi-channels retailers are H&M, Topshop,Primark and superdrug.

All these things are found in places such as Oxford Street, it has over 300 retailers on that one street it also has half a million visiters every day. Many High Streets have to cater to all the customers needs ranging from men to women.
