Cute Miniature Halloween Bear Cute Miniature Halloween Bear These miniature bears make an ideal gift for children and adults alike. The size of the bear which is 9 cm high when standing makes it quite tricky to make but I’m sure you’ll agree the end results are worth it. You will need: card, fabric 20cm by 20cm, small amount of stuffing, pins, needle and cotton, small beads (optional) embroidery thread. Start by tracing off the pattern pieces onto card. You will need a piece of fabric either use Halloween printed fabric or plain black or orange 20cm by 20cms Fold fabric right sides together and trace around the pattern piece then cut out. For the head Sew the darts at each side of the head, then with right sides together pin making sure you line up the darts, then sew in back stitch around the head leaving neck end open. Turn right way and stuff the head firmly. Now use a running stitch and stitch all the way around the neck opening. Pull the stitch tight to close the opening and fasten off. Next with right sides together, stitch around the ears, leaving the bottom of the ears open, turn right way. Over sew opening and attach ears to the sides of the head in a position that suits your bear. For the eyes you can either use a tiny bead or if the bear is going to be for a younger child you can embroider or use a French knot. Position the eyes. For the nose and mouth use a single thread of embroidery thread and embroider the nose, mouth and eyebrows.
