Crochet Know How
Double Crochet (dc):
Double crochet is the most used crochet stitch it creates a dense, hard-wearing
fabric.
Row 1: Make a chain. Insert the hook through the second chain from the hook
(there should be two loops on the hook) wrap the wool around the hook and
pull the wool through the two hoops. You now have one loop on the hook. This
completes your first double crochet. Insert the hook into the next chain and
continue until you reach the end of the row.
Row 2: When you reach the end of a row turn your work. You now need to add
turning chains. Make this by making a chain stitch, pull the loop through the
loop on the hook to form a loose chain. This is your first stitch so insert the
hook into the next stitch and continue to work one dc into every stitch until the
end of the row.
Continue for as many rows as needed.
