Knitted winter outfit for Miniature bear The miniature teddy was featured in our October Magazine. Make a basic miniature bear and add hat, scarf and mittens. What you need: Small amount of double knitting wool in two colours of you choice, number 3mm knitting needles, wool sewing needle. To make the hat With your colour 2 cast on 16sts and knit 1 row Change to your colour 1 and stocking stitch 4 rows Next row (k1, k2tog) to the last stitch k1 = 11st P1 row (k2tog) to last st k1 =6st Break wool and thread through remaining 6st pull up tightly. Over sew the seam. Place on teddy To make Scarf Using colour 1 cast on 40sts Knit 2 row and cast off. Place scarf around teddy’s neck. To make mittens Make two Using colour 1 cast on 6sts Knit 3 rows (k2tog) to end =3sts Break wool and thread through stitches, pull up tightly and over sew seam. Place on your teddy’s hand. Your teddy is now ready for winter.
