We ’ ve all thought at some point , “ I ’ ll make the next one ,” “ Reps come to me , so I don ’ t need to make it out to a show to purchase ,” “ I ’ ve been in business for years , so there ’ s nothing new I can learn ,” “ I ’ m too busy ,” “ I don ’ t have enough staff to run the store if I ’ m gone ,” “ I can ’ t afford to travel ” and on and on .

The truth is , we need to make the time for CPE and build it into our annual schedules and budgets . If we don ’ t take care of ourselves , we get burnt out , frustrated and discouraged . But our community builds each other up , and that is the key difference between CPE and traditional trade shows . With social media part of our everyday lives , we have a quick way to vent our concerns and receive immediate feedback . But nothing can replace that hug from the one who helped you through something online .
