Johnathan Sottek ’ 16 moved to central Colorado in 2022 to work as a chef in the kitchen at four diamond guest ranch , Lost Valley Ranch . He became an executive chef at the end of 2022 and lives on property in Pike National Forest , curating a fine dining experience for guests from around the world as they enjoy the vast beauty of the Colorado Rockies and tranquility of horseback riding and fishing in the mountains .
Joy Morgan Myers Spencer ’ 16 married Reynolds Spencer ’ 16 in April 2024 at Christ Church Cathedral with a reception at Cheekwood . She graduated from medical school at UTHSC College of Medicine and matched at the University of Chicago in Anesthesiology . He works as an Assurance Senior on the Audit side of Ernst & Young .

Ally Hockaday ’ 17 is working as a Bedside Registered Nurse ( RN ) in the ER and Patient Flow Nurse in the Psychiatric ER at Vanderbilt Hospital . Since graduating from Lipscomb University with her Bachelor ’ s degree in nursing , Ally has deeply enjoyed the nature of her work in healthcare , learning the ins and outs of patient care and connecting with likeminded caregivers in Vanderbilt ’ s vast professional network .
“ I loved taking Anatomy from Jeremy White and learning skills like CPR to empower me to help others . While my career didn ’ t follow a path in writing , Ms . Posey ignited my passion for writing , and set me up for success in life . It wasn ’ t until college that I truly appreciated how well-prepared I was , both academically and personally . I vividly remember the thought-provoking feedback she ( Ms . Posey ) provided on my papers ,” she shared . Ally ’ s work at Vanderbilt gives her a unique position to love people by providing them quality care in vulnerable moments . She enjoys a workplace of supportive colleagues from all different backgrounds — all helping work towards the same goals , allowing her to experience God in sometimes unlikely places .
