A hallway bustling with the sounds of little feet tiptoeing quietly ; the palpable anticipation of all the students sneaking out of their classrooms into the hall at the same time ; the muffled giggles of students peeking through the closed hall doors … “ SURPRISE !” In walks Director of Security Mike Norton , astonished to see the entire CPA Preschool student body lining Spero Hall with paper police hats , posters , and hand-written thank you notes to celebrate his retirement from 10 + years preserving the safety of the Academy . Students clapped and cheered for the friendly face and strong , comforting presence that was Officer Norton . Teachers and staff embraced him with words of gratitude and affirmation for his consistency in service and fond regard for all students at CPA .
