CONTROVERSY behind the Team Del Floating Trophy
Team Del did not win the 2020 Cow & Belle . They were the second-fastest team on the day . The honour of being the fastest went to Team Georgie in a smoking time of 5h34mins .
At the postrace awards ceremony , Team Del – despite raising the most money for CHOC , their impeccable fashion sense and having come second - were relegated to last place due to some creative judging .
A week after the race a lunch was arranged between the chief judge , Alberto Riccardi , and Team Del , with the Warmonger at the helm .
Murmurings suggested that an apology
was at hand , which some exclaimed and rightfully so .
A hand written letter from The High Command of the Cow & Belle was given to each rider . What was written inside was not what was expected . What they received was a shot across the bow and a call to arms .
Here is that letter .
And with that the legend of the Team Del Cow & Belle Floating Trophy was born .
