Provider Health

Provider Health

Can my husband/wife hug our children?

• Yes, as long as they are not sick

Will my husband/wife get COVID-19?

• We sincerely hope not, we are ensuring that all of our providers have

the PPE and information that they need to protect themselves.

• We are asking that all of our providers monitor themselves for fever

and other COVID symptoms.

What should I wash my hands with?

• Soap and water for at least 20 seconds & wash all surfaces

• Hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol

How should I disinfect my house?

• Daily disinfection of high-touch surfaces (for visible dirt, wash with soap

and water first to clear debris)

• When disinfecting surfaces, let cleaning solutions sit long enough to kill

the virus before wiping/rinsing them off (time is chemical dependent)

• Ex: Doorknobs, light switches, bathroom counters, faucets, toilet flush

handles, toilet paper holders, cell phones, keyboards, computer mouse,

game consoles and controllers, TV remote, refrigerator and kitchen

cabinet handles, hand rails, car door-handles (inside and out) car seats.

Look around your house, what are the most frequently touched

surfaces

What cleaning solutions kill viruses?

Alcohol

• ~70% concentration (hand sanitizer~ 60% Lysol ~80%)

• Wipe or rinse off after 30-seconds (100% alcohol evaporates too quickly

to be useful)

• Seal alcohol container when not in use so it won’t evaporate. If kept

sealed it will retain it’s effectiveness. Do NOT use Etoh (ex vodka)

• Do not use directly on skin (use soap and water or hand sanitizer)
