4. Classic Fashion Pieces
A universal fashion tip is to invest in basics that you can
wear through the year for all seasons. Stick to neutral
colour palettes and styles. A crisp white shirt and a well
fitting pair of jeans or black pants should be your starting
point. You can then add on accessories, like jewellery and
hijabs to bring in colour. One of my favourite black pants is
the Harem pants from Bespoke Hijabi. Stylist Waseefa
Hutton has created a trendy looking pair of harem pants
which can take you from work to an evening out, with just
a change in accessories or blouse.
5. Don’t live beyond your means
This sounds harsh but ladies who are financially fit and
strive to be financially stable are extremely cautious to
never spend more than what they earn and one of the
easiest ways to do so is to stop carrying around debt. This is
usually in the form of a credit or retail store card. Try to
transact primarily with your cheque cards or a specific cash
amount and leave your store cards and credit cards at home.
By doing so you will be unable to make impulsive
purchases and you will over time, eliminate this debt.
