Please share something of your background related to your interest in bodybuilding and fitness.

I've always been an athlete. I have played soccer, basketball, and baseball. I started competing in bodybuilding as a teenager. During college, I won many junior division titles and also some middleweight and light heavyweight titles.

I won a lot of shows and enjoyed the training and competing; however, I got away from competing for a very long time. After a fourteen-year hiatus, I decided to return to competitive bodybuilding.

Please share with us a bit about your contest history and most memorable show experience.

After the long layoff, it took some time to figure out my body again. What made me fill out the best, how to get me the driest, what brings out vascularity the most, and many other particulars.

Upon returning to the stage this year, I won the following: Bodybuilding Heavyweight class and overall at the Beach Bodies Classic

Bodybuilding, and heavyweight class at the Dexter Jackson Classic. On the third show the Florida State Championships, we brought the best package of the year winning the bodybuilding heavyweight class and the overall. The hard work paid off and all the changes my coach, Eric Diffenderfer from Team Freak Physique, and I made were working. To bring that package to Florida State and win that title was truly rewarding and very memorable. Awesome way to cap off my first year back to competitive bodybuilding.

What motivates and or inspires you to workout, diet and compete?

I love the challenge to better myself through all the training and dieting. It is extremely tough at times, but I know that is what is required to be my best and give me the best shot to win. Every time I think of backing off or cutting my workout short, I remind myself that my competition is working hard and putting in the extra work to win.

In order for me to beat my competition, I have to push harder than I want to at times, suffer more through my diet, and do that extra time on the cardio machine. I train to win....nothing less!! (cont. pg 18).
