Course Reps Mini Module ED1U007 Personal Development Through Representation Module Leader: Dr Karen Fitzgibbon, Centre for Excellence in Learning & Teaching This module has been designed to recognise the personal development that takes place when students act as representatives for their course. There are two assessments, both of which must be passed in order to pass the module overall. The module is validated for 5 credits at Level 4 (equivalent to undergraduate year 1), but can be taken by representatives in any year of their studies. As it is a supplementary module you will need to enrol for it once you complete the assessment. Assessment One - Evidence of role (40% weighting) You are required to provide evidence of the extent of your role over the period of time you have been a student representative. It is necessary to provide a range of evidence in order to satisfy this element of the assessment. This could include: ? ? Confirmed attendance at meetings where student representatives make contribution to the student experience, such as: o Course Board o Staff Student Liaison Committee o Teaching and Learning Committee o other Faculty or University Committees (please give the title of the committee and the name of the Chair) o NUS meetings Confirmation of your attendance can include your name on minutes of the meeting (it is only necessary to provide the list of names of those present rather than the whole set of minutes), or a list of the dates of the meetings you attended signed by the Scheme Leader, 16
