Interested in Animal Production, or thinking about a career in the animal or health
industry? This class is for you! Come with us as we take an actual look into the
reproductive system of a cow or learn about artificial insemination. We will study the
anatomy, digestion, reproduction, health, disease, and management of beef, dairy,
swine, sheep, horses, goats, and poultry. Students will learn the science behind the

on hands-on inquiry based learning. Topics to include: animal management strategies,
animal records, genetics, animal environment, animal anatomy and physiology, body
condition, and feedstuffs.
Biotechnology**
Starting with the basics of cells and DNA, students will have the opportunity to spool their
own DNA, investigate genetically modified products, as well as address important issues
such as gene therapy, genetically modified foods, stem cell research, and the use of
DNA profiling through forensic science. If you are interested in one of these fast growing
fields through a career in biotechnology, medicine, or forensic science then this
advanced class will benefit you.
Fish and Wildlife Conservation
Explore the great outdoors! Students will study administration of Fish and Wildlife
Management, hunting and fishing regulations are studied as well as habitat of those
