Building Construction

The objectives of this course are to develop in each student an appreciation and knowledge of good
craftsmanship as applied to building construction, an active interest in industry, and the methods and
problems used and faced by industry. Also, to develop in the student the knowledge of production and
procedure used in residential building. This course will entail "on the job training", actually working
in the field, and constructing a structure.

MANUF
Manufacturing Tech

Grades 11 & 12
This manufacturing course will provide students with a general introduction to the material processing
and management components of a manufacturing activity. Emphasis will be placed on the managed
sequence of activities used to convert a designer idea into a product, which is produced and converted
into money in the marketplace. NOTE: This class has a lot of related activities.

ADVTEC
Advanced Technology Lab
½ credit semester
Grades 11 & 12
This is an independent study program set up by one of the Technology Education instructors and the
student. In this course a student can pursue any area of Technology Education into greater depth. This
will be a one or two period class depending upon the student's schedule and interest. Each individual
program must be written and approved by the principal.

Youth Apprenticeship –
Automotive Technology

If the student is serious about a career in the automotive industry then this youth apprenticeship is for
him/her. The program involves being enrolled in mechanics either the junior or senior year. If students
