Employability , enterprise and citizenship Working with others The majority of work in the Drama Course involves working in pairs , small groups or as a whole class . Interaction with others is integral .
Thinking skills Understanding Applying Analysing and evaluating Creating All of the above are incorporated into the practical work when creating and presenting a piece of drama . Assessment The mandatory subject skills , knowledge and understanding that will be assessed are : responding to stimuli when creating drama working with others , in order to share and apply simple dramatic ideas exploring drama form , structure and techniques understanding straightforward knowledge and skills in acting and production skills
understanding straightforward social and cultural influences when creating drama and observing performance using simple evaluations skills within the creative process
Pupils will be expected to keep a folio of evidence of the work generated during practical activities in the course . These will be regularly assessed by the teacher .
Progression Routes
There will be a final production towards the end of the course when pupils will apply the skills they have gained to a small production which will be performed in front of an invited and selected audience .
Pupils will be expected to : have kept a detailed folio of work on this ; be able to answer questions about their role ; be able to evaluate their role and be able to evaluate the work of the others in the performance as well as the performance itself . Progression from the course will be to National 4 or 5 as appropriate .
