Look out this Autumn for a wealth of country music across BBC TV . As well as the
star-studded eight-part series - ‘Country Music’ - by respected documentary maker
Ken Burns scheduled for BBC Four, over on BBC Two is ‘Dolly’s Country’, which is set
to explore why she is considered one of the greatest songwriters of modern times.
Boasting “unprecedented access”, the BBC say that “it reveals the genius songwriter
behind the rhinestones, the private individual who reveals almost everything if you
take the time to explore the lyrics, the modern feminist who doesn’t want to be called
a feminist.”
Additionally the beeb will be showing highlights from the Country Music
Association Awards 2019 on BBC Four with coverage also on BBC Radio Two.
Additionally, Radio 2 have ‘Brad Paisley: This Is Country Music’, a four-part series
presented by the country star, lined-up. Plus Bob Harris makes his return to The
Country Show following his health issues.

(AVM) after nearly collapsing on
stage in Roanoke, Virginia. He
was diagnosed with the condition
