Dollywood lawsuit
Dolly Parton’s East Tennessee theme park,
Dollywood, is being sued by the copyright
owners of The Charlie Brown Christmas theme
song, Christmas Time Is Here, for allegedly
using the song without permission in the park’s
Christmas shows for more than ten years.
The lawsuit suggests that the show has been
using the Lee Mendelson and Vince Guaraldi-
penned song since at least 2007 and are
seeking damages of “at least $150,000 for each
performance” plus attorney’s fees.
