C2C to feature Luke combs,
Darius rucker, and Eric Church
plus Tanya Tucker AND OCMS
T
he line-up for the eighth Country to Country festival has been
announced with Luke Combs, Darius Rucker, and Eric Church
set to headline the events next March at The O2 London, 3Arena
Dublin, The SSE Hydro, and venues across Europe.
As well as the headliners, country legend Tanya Tucker is on the main
stage with The Cadillac Three, Tanya Tucker, Charles Esten, Runaway
June and Jordan Davis all making their main stage debuts. Interestingly,
also on the main stage are Old Crow Medicine Show, and coincidentally it
is the same day as Darius Rucker. Wagon Wheel anybody? Brett Young
returns, and following their recent UK tour Old Dominion are on the bill.
The Spotlight Stage makes its return and Introducing Nashville will see
artists including Abby Anderson, Eric Paslay and Tenille Townes take
to the main stage together for an acoustic set sharing stories behind their
tracks.
The CMA’s CEO Sarah Trahern said, “We are thrilled to see the
continuously growing Country fan base in the UK and for C2C to bring such
a powerful line-up of artists to international fans. This year marks CMA’s
eighth year partnering with C2C, and it has been so exciting to see this
festival and the audience of passionate Country fans continue to get bigger
and better each year.”
Reaction to the announcement of the line-up online was rather more
restrained with fans taking to social media decrying the lack of female
artists on the bill and disappointed that many of those performing had
already played the festival or had played UK dates in their own right.
