Playoff Pep Rally
By Ethan Fernau
There was a pep rally held on October 27 during 20 mintue block to get everyone excited and hyped up for the first round playoff game that the Burke/South Central Cougar football team would be playing later on that night. The pep rally was put on by Mrs. Mandy Frank. The football team talked, the cheerleaders cheered, and the band played the school song. Randomly, in the middle of Austin McGee giving his words of wisdom, some of the football players moms and dads came running onto the court while the song "Watch Me" blared out of the speakers. The moms and dads all started whipping and nae-naeing all over the court.
"A big thanks to Mrs. Frank for putting on the pep rally during 20 mintue block. We really believe that it got the student body excited for the game, and it was cool to see all people that supported us. Also, thanks for the big turn out of fans we had at the Corsics-Stickney game. It was much apprecitated."-Burke/South Central Football Team.
