Food Safety after a Power Outage
An Emergency Plan
Stay Strong, Stay Healthy set to start September 1st
Stay Strong, Stay Healthy is designed to increase an aging adult’s access to a safe, structured, and effective strength training program. The next Stay Strong, Stay Healthy workshop will meet at the Great Bend Activity Center, 2715 18th Street, Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10-11 AM from September 1st through October 22nd. Over 8 weeks, participants learn exercises to improve their strength, flexibility and balance. During each session, a prescribed set of 8 upper and lower body strengthening exercises are done along with warm-ups and cool-down stretches. Participants are made to feel comfortable regardless of their current fitness level so they can safely participate and gradually
build the strength beneficial to health.
Class size will be small to allow for social
distancing. Other precautions will be
taken to keep participants safe. There is a
$20.00 registration that may be paid at
the Cottonwood Extension District –
Great Bend office (1800 12st St.) by
August 20th. A short pre-assessment is
required before the start of the class. For
