March is National Nutrition Month, so it is the perfect time to share the Med Dash to a Healthy Heart presentation. Donna Krug, Cottonwood District Director and Family & Consumer Science Agent will present this information on Wednesday, March 9th. At 10:30 AM at the Great Bend Senior Center, 2005 Kansas. The same information will be shared in a Stop and Learn program at noon, at the Great Bend Activity Center, 2715 18th Street. Donna’s presentation will focus on the positive aspects of both the DASH diet and Mediterranean eating plans. Reminding everyone of the health benefits of including more fruits, vegetables and whole grains, while limiting the amount of solid fats and added sugar will be the theme of the program. The programs are free and open to everyone.
