June 2022
Greetings from the Director:
With school out and summer activities ramping up, you are well aware that family time is a precious commodity. Hopefully you can carve out time each day to do things that you enjoy. Whether it is a family bike ride or tending a garden, getting kids involved in fun learning is a good goal. Of course, at our Cottonwood Extension offices, gears switch in the summer to focus more on youth activities including our County Fairs. Take a few minutes to see the activities we have planned during the month ahead.
When you have a chance, I hope you will stop by our offices in person and meet our summer interns. Dalton Dicks is helping us in our Great Bend office and Taylor Meyer is the summer intern in the Hays office. We appreciate their youthful energy and great ideas they bring to the table. You can read more about these young people in this newsletter.
Interviews are set for June 28th to select a 4-H Youth Development Agent as well as a Family and Community Wellness Agent. Our Cottonwood District Executive Board is tasked with hiring the best qualified candidate and then supporting them as they join our Cottonwood team.
Enjoy the month ahead!
Donna Krug, District Director
