Dreaming of Green

Why January is Perfect for Garden Planning

January is a great time to plan for spring! Going through seed catalogs, reviewing your garden from the previous year, and planning your garden for this coming season are all great ways to shake off winter blues and get excited for the growing season. (Although it's been feeling a lot like spring lately!). Spring garden planning is a great way to connect to friends, neighbors, and your local community to learn what others have grown and have done well for them.

This is the perfect time to go through your seeds and check the germination rate on older seeds (see last month's article for how to do that!), buy new seeds from reputable sellers, and start seeds indoors.

To help you jump into the growing mood, we are offering a Spring Planning program! We’ll be going over tips and tricks to planning your garden and creating a community space where growers in town can connect, share their experiences, and learn from one another. Check out the flyer for more information below!
