The new year is off to an exciting and busy start for 4-H in the Northwest region! With a full calendar of events planned for the first three months, there's no shortage of opportunities for 4-H members (and leaders too) to engage, learn, and grow.
First up, NW Ag Ambassador Day Camp will provide a hands-on, educational experience for young participants, fostering the leadership skills in our Ambassadors and providing a passion for agriculture to the participants.
In addition, the NW Regional Record Book Judging offers 4-H members a chance to showcase their hard work and accomplishments from last year, reinforcing the importance of record-keeping and reflection.
Meanwhile, the Ellis County Food Challenge will challenge 4-H members to demonstrate creativity and teamwork in preparing nutritious meals, emphasizing the value of healthy eating.
Our 4-H Club Day events provide a platform for 4-H members to shine in various demonstrations and activities, showcasing their talents and learning outcomes. Starting with Barton County on February 2nd and then Ellis County on March 2nd.
Last but not least, Super Saturday is a fun day full of judging contests and project learning activities, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Judging contests include: Crops, Entomology, Horticulture, Life Skills, Photography and Livestock and Livestock Skill-a-thon.
With these programs and events, the 4-H program is starting 2025 strong, offering an enriching start to the new year. There’s no doubt that the next few months will be filled with excitement, growth, and achievement for all involved.
