It was Lift Off for a great group of youth at the 4-H Space Tech Day on Saturday, March 20. This collaborative effort between Cottonwood Extension District, Walnut Creek District and Barton Community College provided a variety of hands-on learning opportunities for 25 youth. In addition to participating in the classes, several 4-H youth presented or assisted in presenting a session which provides valuable

presentation practice! Classes included Rocket Building, Junk Drawer Chemistry, UAS (unmanned aerial systems), Electronic Circuit Coding, Junk Drawer Robotics, and an engineering/problem-solving class called Toxic Island where youth had to build a method to transport a carton using everyday items.
