April 2021
Greetings from the Director:
I hope our Spring temperatures are here to stay. I always look forward to one of our spring Signature programs in Extension – the Walk KS program, which runs through May 22nd this year. Take a look at all of the other opportunities to be a lifelong learner in the Cottonwood District.
Tuesday, April 20th, we are hosting a joint Program Development Committee meeting. Committees that represent our four program areas help us determine educational programming needs in Barton and Ellis Counties. We value your input, so if you have an idea to share, please contact me (620)793-1910 or e-mail me at: [email protected]
2021 is an election year for four of our Cottonwood Executive Board positions, 2 in Barton and 2 in Ellis county. The filing deadline for these positions is June 1st at noon at the respective County Clerks’ offices. The four-year term begins after the November election results are certified. The Executive Board meets monthly and is closely involved with oversight of our district budget as well as personnel and programming decisions. Feel free to contact me if you have questions about running for a board position.
Now, go out and enjoy Spring!
