President’s Report

2017
The cornerstone of our scientific program is our
annual conference and this year’s theme was
CosmetiX - What is Next which created the
opportunity to our speakers to cover a wide range
of topics including those encompassing
current socio-ecological trends.
The conference was concluded with a
glittering Night of Thousand Lights themed gala
dinner.
Message from our President
In the blink of an eye, the year of 2017 is now
behind us and we now have the opportunity to
reflect back on the achievements and activities
of Coschem and to acknowledge the efforts of all
of our members for their contributions throughout
the year.
Our council and various sub-committees are
responsible for promoting the advancement of
science and technology in the cosmetic and
toiletries industry and for providing the means for
the dissemination and interchange of this
knowledge.
Our Education Committee provided lectures,
support and laboratory facilities to a record
number of students this year with many
students receiving our highly sought and
recognized certificates in cosmetic science.
The Seminar Committee held two morning
seminars as well as a practical household
workshop.
