This year's Sports Day was a great success. There was lots of events throughout the day that were won by a lot of competitive athletes. In 100m Kate Wilkinson won with a time of 14.6 seconds-this is a very fast time for the girls. In the 200m race Sophie Ekstrom-Gabb and Bridget Morris came joint first with a fantastic time of 32 seconds. In 1500m Eleanor Houlston Clark came first with a time of 6 minutes and 50 seconds. Shot put was won by Emily Adams she threw 6.12m which was a great score. Meg Bhoghal won discus with a great distance of 16.95m. Javelin was won by Katie Jones with an excellent distance of 20.12m which is a really good result. The remaining competitions were also a great success with lots of winnings off numerous competitors. Cadoc came first in this year's relay- they had an impressive time of 61.8 seconds beating Illtyd(63.4) Patrick(66.8) and Teilo(64.4). Also a big well done to everyone who competed in this year's sports day who may not have been mentioned but still had a good turnout in each of their events.

On Wednesday 25th of June the pupils of Corpus Christi competed in their events to win points for their houses. In the 200 metres Foudia Zouber won running a 26.8 second 200 metres, Kieran Steward was second at not far behind just 0.3 of a second. The next event was the Long Jump, again Foudia Zouber won when he jumped 4.72 metres, in second place was James Whitlock (4.68 metres) and in third was Justin Pilapil (4.62 metres). The next track event was the 1500m which was won by Carvell Crocker who ran a quick 5:09 minute 1500m.
As the day progressed more battles developed in the events such as the shot put where Harry Lyons and Connor Brooks would face off. Harry Lyons won the shot when he threw into double digits at 10.09m, Connor Brooks finished in second place and threw 9.99m almost into double digits. On the track the 300 metres would take place, an event combining speed and endurance. The race was extremely close but Max Thomas managed to beat Inigo Santillan by 0.5 seconds when he ran a very fast 44.3 second 300m.
Next on the track was another event which would also require speed and endurance, the 800m. Nat Ahmed won and ran a quick 2.31 minute 800m. At the same time the high jump was taking place and the event was very competitive with both Ben Thomas and Joel Cusack jumping 1.40 metres, however due to the better count back Ben Thomas won. In the triple jump Justin Pilapil jumped 9.9m almost into double digits. Nathan Crothers finished 2nd with a 8.70m jump. Connor Brooks threw his javelin 27.8m to beat Max Thomas who threw a solid 26.63m.
The final events of the day saw the whole school come out to watch the 100m and 4x100m shuttle. In the 100m Johnson Elive won an exciting race, his time was 12.3 seconds. In 2nd place was Foudia Zouber (12.6 seconds) and in 3rd was Kieran Steward (12.8 seconds). The final event of the 2014 sports day was the relay, Patrick took the glory and were closely followed by Cadoc in 2nd, Teilo in 3rd and Illtyd in 4th.
Overall Partick won the Yr 9 Boys comeption with 110.5 points, Illtyd were 2nd with 103.5, Teilo followed closely behind with 103 which grabbed them 3rd place and finally with 77 points Cadoc came 4th.
