Cornwall & Devon Land Rover Club. The Club Mag spring 2014 | Page 4
Depending on its success this offer maybe repeated in subsequent years, it’s up
to you. You will also have found a survey form in with your membership renewal
form, I hope that you have found the time to complete and return this survey. It is
very helpful every few years to get some consensus of opinion on how the general
membership think the club is performing and whether there is anything more that
they would like to see. Remember that this is your club and your thoughts and
opinions do matter and while as I’m sure you appreciate you can’t please everyone
all of the time we do like to provide what our members are looking for.
To finish we have just enjoyed our Annual Dinner and Prize giving evening held as
usual at The Eagle House Hotel in Launceston. The hotel is now under new
management and I am pleased to report that it is still business as usual. The
numbers were a little down this year but those that did attend enjoyed a great
evening. Many thanks to Tony Powell able assisted by Di for all their hard work in
organising the event, thanks to all those who provided a prize for the raffle, to our
sponsors Jeff Dowell from Brookwells, Phil Cuming from Hatt Service Station and
David Jeffery from Highlanes Garage who were put to work presenting their
respective trophies, thanks also go to David and Jessica for sorting out the huge
number of trophies that we need, Nigel the DJ and to the ladies for selling the raffle
tickets.
It just leaves me to say “Enjoy your motorsport” and we’ll catch up here again next
time.
Pete.
