Ever since the committee made the decision to run a mini league for the Time Trials I have been looking forward to getting out there and having a go.
The day of reckoning drew close and news of Newnham being waterlogged and
not fit for use filtered through , Phil managed to secure the use of Hemerdon for
the day before the contractors were due to start so a change in venue was announced.
There I was in the garage just finishing off the last of my preparations when Mark
Clinnick phones “Trev can you sort my diff for me as I’m going to have a go at the
time trial, oh and I have to change the gearbox” There’s me thinking I had cut it
fine….

The big day arrives and with all 8 drivers and cars finally assembled we head off
to walk the first section, Andi Skelly reminding us that he’d not done this for some
time... It was only when he was spotted walking the section the wrong way round
that we realised that perhaps it had been a while (we start at 12 gate Andi not the
1 gate).
