4th February 2016 I CoreSportgib sola Blue Stars continue on a roll, unbeaten so far, having taken all the trophies earlier this year, Under 14, Under 16, Under 18 and Mens and now still on a roll in the league. The impressive run of results across the categories places Isola Blue Stars as the team to beat. Only this week alone the Under 14's beat Europa by 53-18, this was followed by the Under 18's winning 74-53 against Valmar Wrighttec. This Thursday the Under 16's hope to continue the unbeaten run. Speaking to Coresportgib David Parody, highlighted how proud he is of his players, "Our Defensive attitude is amazing," he said, "So far every player in both games have scored. Its excellent team work." Isola Blue Star's success of late is not just about the sport but the ethos behind the team. This was clear to see speaking to Parody who explained that "coaches are not only there to help players in a game and teach them skills but to educate them to ensure they work hard both in sports and school." He explained that it was important for teams to realise that "the bottom of the Pyramid is meant to feed the top," something which Isola Blue Stars seems to have been working hard in doing. Isola Blue Stars coaches have set themselves a hard task, but one which seems to be working for them as the team continues their success. "The first thing we tell our kids we win or lose as a team and school is as important as sport. We get the kids to produce time tables for school, homework and sport and to organise themselves. It’s a tool for life," explained Parody as he outlined the ethos that the team follow both on and off the courts. "What I like is when they see us in the future they have good memories and are thankful for what we gave that has helped them both in sport and school." click here to see full gallery collection in our website
