Since coming back , I have compiled two more documents ahead of Fall Council : firstly , a ~ 1500-word document compiling new initiatives in the elections process this year ( stay tuned !), and secondly , a ~ 5000-word document with the text of all five proposed amendments and justifications + FAQs for each one of them . I look forward to finishing this year strong for all my Parli Pals , valete omnes !
Salvete Omnes ! As I start to near the end of my term in office I am just as excited as ever for the JCL and Convention this year . I have done a lot in the last few months , starting with writing a new ultra-large 4000-word Candidate ’ s Guide for this year ’ s slate of candidates . Next in the run-up to Nationals , I helped the other officers prepare Virginia for the spirit competition , took a quick four-week break to go to Rome and attend the Governor ’ s Latin Academy , and then returned and presided over Virginia ’ s voting fellowship at Nationals . and just having fun being a Latin nerd . Now that I ' m back , I ' ve been getting to work preparing things for my successor and working on the Fellowship minutes from NJCL Convention . School has started for me , and probably most other JCLers , so I ' ve also been getting used to having to wake up early again . I hope to see you all at state convention this fall !
