During the Salvete assembly feel free to kick back and enjoy the guest speaker , but towards the end of the assembly , the Parliamentarian will usually give an elections update , make sure you are listening closely for crucial information that may be said ! After GA 1 feel free to go grab some lunch , and attend test session 1 , but note that to be on time for Nom-Com you will have to leave test session 1 by about 1:35 p . m . Nom-Com , the first elections meeting , will be at 2 p . m . in the small auditorium across the street ; make sure you are outside the room by 1:45 at the latest so the Parliamentarian can give you important information . You will need to bring both your sponsor and two voting delegates with you ! During Nom-Com you will officially be nominated to run for office by one of your friends ( the Parli will give specific instructions on how to do this ) and give your very first speech to the voting delegates who will decide the election . Assuming you make it through Nom-Com it is time to get to what I ’ ll affectionately call the meat-andpotatoes of running for office , campaigning . For the next few hours , you ’ ll be going up to convention-goers and telling them about your platform while simultaneously urging them to vote for you .
Make sure you take a break to eat dinner and compete in any competitions you have though ! Once dinner ends I would recommend suspending your campaign , if you try campaigning during the dance or karaoke you may come off as overly strict ; go have fun . Make sure you don ’ t go to bed too late that night after school fellowship , and make sure to set an alarm for ~ 7:30 the next morning .

At the Midvete assembly you ’ ll be giving your general-convention speech in front of every single person at convention , make sure you wake up early to practice your speech and get some caffeine in your system maybe . You will also want to meet up with whoever is doing an introduction for you at GA 2 just to make sure you are on the same page .
