Meghan Czaikoski and Danielle Simms, both announced they will be running.

Meghan stated that she held numerous positions specifically focused on membership, building up to 40 active charters throughout the years. She would like to refocus the organization around quality of the clubs by bringing back strategy to ensure that our chapters are provided the resources to help with membership recruitment, retainment, and implementation.

Danielle stated that under her term, VAYD's local chapters has grown over 44% with brand new, sustainable chapters -many of which are High Schools in the Northern Region, other charters in areas that will be crucial to the 2014 election cycle.

Laura Oganowski announced.

She said that she has seen the emergence and presence of Southwest Virginia Young Democrats, despite the trend of Democratic campaigns to ignore the region. She wants to continue that trend, help the clubs have more of a presence on their respective campuses and in their communities and create a respective network between clubs in the region. The only place for this region to go is up, and she looks forward to leading that charge.

Toora Arsala and Charles Bright announced they would be running

Toora focused on improving upon old programs such as Phoning for Our Future, including more clubs for the Campaign Contest, and effectively planning regional invasions. He also wants to apply what he's learned working on campaigns to further empower and embolden the voice of Young Democrats across the Commonwealth!

Charles said he wants to continue what’s worked during his tenure and make improvements where they need to be made. He intends to keep up efforts to encourage our chapters to continue actively participating during these crucial midterms. And will better communicate with chapters and make stronger and better use of social media.
