K-9 OFFICER JEWELL ASSISTANT SPECIAL AGENT IN CHARGE
ASAC Jewell began his career with GDC as a Canine Handler at Valdosta State Prison in February 2017 . His can-do attitude and willingness to be a team player made an immediate impact throughout the Unit and the State ’ s Southwest Region . Jewell ’ s work ethic and willingness to contribute no matter what was asked was quickly noted . He was promoted to Canine Operations Southwest Assistant Agent in Charge in September 2022 . Since his promotion , Jewell has continued to prove himself valuable with his ‘ lead by example ’ personality .
LIEUTENANT WHITE
Lieutenant ( Lt ) White is a seasoned Officer with years of experience as CERT Team Supervisor and is currently assisting with recruitment . Lt . White assists facility staff with necessities such as count , chow , shakedowns , and after-hour details while still serving in the capacity of Recruitment Lt . for Macon State Prison . Lt . White is exemplary of what an officer should strive to become .
CERT LIEUTENANT SHUMAKE
Lieutenant ( Lt ) Shumake is a hard worker , demonstrates professionalism , is knowledgeable , and is always willing to learn new things . When asked to cover a post for fellow staff members , he never complains and has his CERT team readily available when needed . As CERT Lt . he has demonstrated how a true leader leads .
SPECIAL AGENT SUBOTICKI
Special Agent ( SA ) Suboticki sets the standard of excellence within the Office of Professional Standards and truly represents the team mindset within the Southeast Unit . SA Suboticki is always the first to volunteer whenever her coworkers are in need and goes above and beyond on any task she is assigned . She also assists in investigations with state and federal law enforcement partners , resulting in numerous successful prosecutions . SA Suboticki always approaches tasks with a positive mindset and creates a positive work environment for her fellow agents .
