This wonderful old ledger was compiled in the 1700s by one of our governors. It shows that Sevenoaks has been elevating the prospects of young people( not just our own) for some time.
It lists a number of disbursements paid out to fund invaluable apprenticeships for local youngsters, including a couple of girls. A fine example of 18th century forward thinking.
